We run tailor-made workshops for those who wish to learn more about food waste in a fun, interactive environment. Workshops are important tools that not only heighten consciousnesses on food waste, but share skills that teach participants how to practice food conservation in the kitchen at home.
In the Netherlands 38% of food waste occurs at the consumer level (Voedingscentrum, 2012) – this means that the problem is not entirely in the hands of policy makers or government officials – we, the consumers, have the power to end the waste epidemic.
A typical Taste Before You Waste workshop involves hands-on action! Because, what better way is there to learn how to save food than by doing it? But, since practice is nothing without some theory we tend to start every workshop with a short presentation on Food Waste, the importance of reducing it and our responsibility as consumers.
