Internship Vacancies

Our current positions entail the following tasks:

Cultural Programme Coordinator:

  • Plan and organise educational and entertaining programmes at the Wasteless Culture Mondays dinners (e.g. documentary screenings, debates, guest speakers, workshops, quizes)
  • Communicate, collaborate and receive guest speakers, documentary makers, fellow initiatives, musicians
  • Represent the message of TBYW during the dinners
  • Ensure all materials are present and setting up the stage
  • Facilitate discussions at every Cultural Monday Dinner
  • Collect feedback from TBYW community and continuously improving on our content
  • Any other activity that you think will help TBYW and our Wasteless Culture Mondays
  • Be available on Mondays from 16:00 – 22:00 as well as 3 additional hours at flexible times during the week and participation in a weekly team meeting (times TBC)

Team coordination:

  • Recruit volunteers and interns
  • Keep our vacancies up-to-date on various platforms
  • Keep the volunteer work schedule up-to-date
  • Arrange the introduction of new volunteers
  • Receive and assess incoming internship applications
  • Interview the prospective interns
  • Communicate between TBYW and the sending institution i.e. the university
  • Guide the immersion of interns
  • Any other activity that you think will help the TBYW team
  • Around 10 hours/week flexible, except for participation in a weekly team meeting (times TBC)

Funding Coordinator

  • Research and apply for subsidies on different levels: UN, EU, national and local
  • Research and participate in startup funding possibilities
  • Coordinating alternative funding options, such as crowdfunding
  • Any other activity that you think will help the TBYW team
  • Around 10 hours/week flexible, except for participation in a weekly team meeting (times TBC)

Public Outreach Coordinator

  • Keep our website up-to-date
  • Attract printing press coverage + radio + TV
  • Create a monthly newsletter
  • Distribute etters, flyers, posters & stickers in the neighbourhood
  • Identify and contact potential partners and platforms 
  • Any other activity that you think will help TBYW and our public presence
  • Around 10 hours/week flexible, except for participation in a weekly team meeting (times TBC)

Social Media Coordinators:

  • Attend and report on our activities
  • Create engaging content such as stories, posts, tweets, snapshots
  • Maintain our social media accounts on a daily basis, primarily Facebook, Instagram
  • Reflect and develop on our media strategy
  • Communicate with other team members and coordinate their contributions to social media channels
  • Any other activity that you think will help TBYW and our social media presence
  • Around 10 hours/week flexible, except for participation in a weekly team meeting (times TBC)

Photographer:

  • Attend our events and take pictures
  • Edit photos
  • Communicate with and report back to social media manager for coverage of our events
  • Any other activity that you think will help TBYW and the visualisation of our work
  • Around 10 hours/week at varying times, depending on the event schedule, except for participation in a weekly team meeting (times TBC)

Graphic designer: 

  • Create visual concepts, using computer software or by hand
  • Communicate ideas that inspire and inform our audience
  • Develop the overall layout and design for various applications such as social media content, posters, brochures
  • Any other activity that you think will help TBYW and our graphic content
  • 10 hours/week flexible, except for participation in a weekly team meeting (times TBC)

Blogger:

  • Write blog posts on a weekly a basis on TBYW-relevant themes, e.g. citizen activism, food security, education, environmentalism, cooking etc.
  • Attend and blog on our events
  • Interview related projects and write about them
  • Any other activity that you think will help TBYW and our online content
  • 10 hours/week flexible, except for participation in a weekly team meeting (times TBC)

Events Coordinator:

  • Plan and coordinate our participation in weekend events, food festivals etc.
  • Coordinate and communicate with a team of volunteers
  • Arrange pickups
  • Select food to be handed out & prepare tasters for visitors
  • Communicate TBYW’s cause to the visitors
  • Coordinate the event promotion with the social media coordinators 
  • Communicate with municipality about event permits
  • Reflect on every session and improve concept accordingly
  • Any other activity that you think will help TBYW and our weekend events
  • mainly working on Saturdays, depending on the event schedule, except for participation in a weekly team meeting (times TBC)


Global Movement Coordinator

  • Design a strategy for our global movement programme, that aims at encouraging the formation of TBYW branches around the world
  • Interviews on the experiences and challenges of the existing branches
  • Streamline processes for starting up: agreements, sharing of information etc.
  • Set-up platform for communication and mediate regular exchange between the branches
  • Reach out through various channels to encourage the formation of new TBYW branches
  • Write articles about each branch and their activities for distribution on our blog, newsletter and social media
  • Attend a weekly meeting on Tuesdays 9:30 – 11:30
  • Any other activity that you think will help TBYW and our global movement
